As an innovative and award-winning startup, we're looking for a passionate Marketing Manager (m/f/d) to join us immediately, taking on strategic and operational brand development and trade marketing.
Our mission? To harness marine biodiversity to protect scarce resources while developing high-quality, delicious, and sustainable food alternatives. Externally, we’re the most award-winning startup for alternative seafood, making a positive impact on human and planetary health. Internally, we’re a tech-driven team of seaweed experts, working on the next generation of ingredients to enhance sensory properties and nutrition while reducing costs and the use of limited resources.
YOUR TASKS:
- 🧠 As part of the strategy team, you’ll be responsible for our marketing strategy, ensuring we track the right KPIs and achieve our OKRs.
- 🤝 You’ll oversee the execution and management of our partner activation plan. Together with our three-person marketing team, you’ll create impactful campaigns for our partners and new launches (Retail & Food Service), working closely with the Business Development team.
- 👀 You’ll have a comprehensive view of the entire communications plan—from events & sponsorship and PR to social media and influencer collaborations. You’ll also be the go-to person for the press, with the support of our enthusiastic marketing team.
- 🛒 You’ll be the direct point of contact for our online shop, working alongside our freelancer to hit our sales targets—from optimizing the user experience to running newsletter and traffic campaigns, you’ll cover it all!
- 🦾 You’ll launch and optimize performance-driven Meta and TikTok ad campaigns based on the right KPIs.
- 🎨 With a keen eye for design, you’ll position our brand in line with our brand guidelines, coordinating with our design freelancer and taking on small design tasks yourself.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- A degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of experience in campaign development and execution, as well as managing and acquiring retail and food service partnerships
- Strong analytical skills, the ability to generate insights, and creative problem-solving
- Experience in the FMCG sector, a deep understanding of the retail landscape in the DACH region, and a strong industry network
- Experience in international business environments and knowledge of foreign markets is a plus, but not required
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in German and English (minimum C1 level)
- A hands-on mentality, independence, attention to detail, and strong communication skills
- Passion for sustainable food, especially seaweed
